Okay, well, I've been back home in California now for a couple days. Flew in on Friday, here 'til Wednesday.

Friday was a little hard. Left home around 8am, took the lovely long drive to Jacksonville (about 1.5 hours), waited around in the airport for another hour, got on the plane and waited s'more. I'm not the biggest fan of flying, mostly because it takes so long and almost feels like a waste of time. Tried to read Catch-22 for school, but that book is so all over the place its hard to keep track of what's going on. I brought my netbook with me so I got a little bit of some fun typing done for myself. Landed in Dallas, had a really short layover. I don't know if I like them or not. It was really nice to just keep going, but I think it made the second flight harder on me. I felt so tense, and just strange. Not anxious, but being so tense for so long really took its toll on me. The flight just felt like eternity, even though it was just a touch over 3 hours. Blech. Anyway, found my parents pretty easily after landing in LAX, and we drove to downtown to get dinner before driving home. It took a while to get downtown, but we went to Senka Cafe in Little Tokyo and had awesome sandwiches. I've always loved that place, but it was really nice to take my dad there too. Hauling him anywhere is a challenge, but downtown is damn near impossible. He absolutely loved their sandwiches (he had the egg salad), and I was so darn happy about that even if I was really tired. Made it home, and I think I pretty much just went to bed I was so gosh-darn tired. I fell asleep between 6 and 7, haha, which is between 9 and 10 EST, so it's a normal bedtime for me.

Saturday was nice. It was raining a lot, so I mostly just relaxed. It's really nice being somewhere where I don't have to wash, do dishes, cook, ect ect. Man I miss not having to do dishes! (omg I hate them so much). So I just relaxed until around 5:00pm, and then I went out to Oakridge to meet Jamie and Nina for dinner at Tokiwa. SO MUCH FUN. Oh man, I forgot how awesome it was to just go out and talk to friends over good food. I wasn't feeling too hot since I was really dehydrated from the plane trip, but I still managed to make it though and had an awesome time. We were there for quite a while, cause we didn't make it back to our cars until 7:30. Man oh man that was a good night. I came home, and actually was up for a decent while, not sure how I made it. I think to like 9:00pm before I went to sleep, haha.

Sunday...mmm, Sunday. Man, my memory is bad, or I'm just tired enough that I'm having a hard time remembering things. So I went to breakfast with my parents and my aunt and uncle on my dad's side~ so his sister and husband. I really love them, they're different from the Morris-side. Uncle Bob was telling me such a funny story about a backroads trip in southern Florida and how they thought they were going to die, haha. It ended up being a great little adventure for them, with them backwoods folk. Man, what else did I do? Oh yes, my mom and I went to downtown LA again, to go to the Japanese American National Museum, to pick up a couple things I could use for a group project back home. They have some of the neatest things to get, it's just not the cheapest. Not really expensive, but usually a few bucks more than you'd expect. We went to Kinokuniya, and man I miss that place!!! I love how they have a membership program when I'M NOT THERE ANYMORE. Only 10%, but that adds up! Especially with Joel and his art books. Oh well. I got another little note pad with a cute little shiba inu dog on it, a japanese manga I collect (the only one now), and something else I needed for my group project. Then we just stopped at Senka again, got yummy smoothies, and made our way home. It was really really nice.

Today was a little busy too. Got my hair cut, which...well, I'm not totally happy over. The bangs are too straight across, and mom likes to call it a dutch boy look. Nooooo, I've already had boy-looking hair, dang it. So I'm going to try and figure out how to style it so it's not so 'eh' and get the sides feathered when it gets a little longer so it'll be a bit smoother and not so straight. I'm happy that the back is all short again, though. Visited my aunt again (Dad's sister), then came home for lunch, yum~. Visited Oakridge, and saw a pile of people, which was really nice. <3 I miss them, they're awesome people. Came home to relax for a while, and man I get tired so easily~! I think the time change is kind of against me, mmph. Got Mom a new phone, she has an enV 3, so her QWERTY keyboard is all set for texting, yay!

And I'm just relaxing for a bit, not feeling the best but it's probably because I don't want to go back. I love it here so much~! I do have a boy and two kitties waiting for me, though. ;)
